As far as Covid weddings go this has to be one of the most beautiful.
Alexandra & Scott decided to elope to the Lake District to tie the knot with very limited guests; they only had 4 family members (and one on the way) to witness their vows.
Their epic elopement love story began in one of my favourite little town's in the Lakes Penrith, before heading over to the picturesque Ullswater where we got some beautiful shots by the lake. Of course it didn’t take long before it started to rain though & we got soaked, but it added to the adventure & atmosphere of the day.
Once we had finished photographing around Ullswater we jumped into the car & took to the long winding road & headed for the hills towards Windermere Lake & of course we couldn’t drive through without pulling over like true adventurers we braved the wind & rain again to get more dramatic shots of the lovely couple Alexandra & Scott & to explore the wilderness. It was totally worth it though to take in the breathtaking view & capturing the romance & joy between both Alexandra & Scott.
When we reached our final destination Windermere we strolled by the lake & down to the jetties for some picture perfect moments. As we carried on walking we came across a busker entertaining the crowd with her music. I approached her & asked if she could play them their first dance so she played her rendition of “What a wonderful world”. It was truly magical as the crowd gathered round while she sang the song & clapped at the end of the dance, it was so romantic & one of those unplanned wedding moments I’ll never forget…❤
